From idea to website: What really happens when you build a website with MagicSite

WebSite X5
Published by Incomedia in WebSite X5 News · Thursday 27 Nov 2025 · Read time 7:15
There’s always a moment when you build a new website, where time seems to stop.
You have the ideas, the enthusiasm…then you start the software and find yourself staring at the screen, wondering where to start.

Until recently, the answer was almost automatic: pick a template, empty it, rebuild, test, retest, change everything, start over.
It works, of course. But it’s a somewhat exhausting start, like wanting to set off on a trip and having to assemble the car piece by piece first.

With MagicSite, the WebSite X5 built-in AI assistant, this scenario changes completely. You won’t be starting from a blank page, but from a conversation. And this conversation becomes your starting point.

To really understand how it works, we wanted to put it to the test. We simulated for very different users:

  • Sarah, a British beekeeper with little web experience but determined to sell her honey online
  • Luca, a personal trainer with an online presence already, with a clear idea about what he wants to communicate.

In both cases, we did the simplest thing in the world: we opened WebSite X5, selected MagicSite and…started answering its questions, just as they would have.

The result?
Two completely different conversations, two unique journeys. Two websites that looked tailor-made for the people who “inspired” them.

Let’s take a look at what happened with Sarah and Luca, and the interesting insights that emerged from their chat with MagicSite.

Simulation 1 – Sarah: When a novice learns that building a website is surprisingly easy

Sarah’s story begins with a doubt as big as a beehive: “Can I really make a website on my own?”

Simulation 1: Sarah, an inexperienced beekeeper, next to the MagicSite interface as she starts her first conversation to create the website.
Simulation 1 - Sarah, the inexperienced beekeeper, starts her first conversation with MagicSite

She is a British beekeeper, produces artisanal honey, and wants to sell it online, but she knows only enough about the web to check email and a little more.

As soon as she starts the chat with MagicSite, however, something unexpected happens: she does not feel out of place.
The questions come one at a time, in a friendly tone, and the conversation begins to take shape. The first big choice concerns the website title.

From the website title to the brand identity: all via chat

The first obstacle is the website title. Sarah is undecided and shyly asks:
“Maybe it sounds simple… can we make it nicer?”

MagicSite suggests valid alternatives for the website title.

And  MagicSite does its work: it doesn’t just suggest alternatives, but explains why certain choices work better for an artisanal and local product like hers.
In a few exchanges, Sara ends up with a strong, clear, and… yes, even a little proud title:

“Sarah’s Honey – 100% Local Artisan Honey”

Goals? Strengths? MagicSite helps her understand them while she talks

When the AI asks her what the website’s goals are, Sarah answers as many would:
“I’d like to do a bit of everything…”

MagicSite doesn’t settle for such a vague answer. It guides her, suggests a clearer way to define herself, and helps her understand what really matters: selling online, yes, but also telling who she is and how she works.                                                                                           It’s almost a mini strategic consultation disguised as a conversation.

Describing products? “You do it.” — “OK!”

The best part?
When she reaches the product catalog, Sarah asks the AI to write the descriptions directly:
“That way I save time, and then I can adjust them myself.”

MagicSite complies and creates consistent, professional text content that showcases her honey without exaggeration.
And when she needs a short introduction for the homepage, the AI suggests one that feels like it came from a story: warm, personal, and absolutely “hers.”

The result: A website that is more than just a template…. it’s her project

In just a few minutes, Sarah goes from “I don’t know where to start” to a complete foundation:
  • title
  • clear goals
  • well-defined strengths
  • product descriptions
  • a personal introduction
  • the website structure is already ready

All created from a simple chat.
And above all: everything consistent with who she is.

MagicSite didn’t take control away from her. It didn’t do it “for her.”                                                             It simply turned doubts and uncertainties into a first website that is surprisingly solid.

And this is the final result: a website that truly reflects Sarah’s story, tone, and values.

Simulation 2 – Luca: When MagicSite becomes a true collaborator for a more experienced user

Luca’s story is different from the very beginning
He doesn’t open WebSite X5, asking, “Where do I start?”
He already has an online presence, knows what he offers, and wants a website that truly represents his working method.

Simulation 2: Luke, an experienced personal trainer, next to the MagicSite interface as he starts the conversation to create his website.
Simulation 2 – Luca, the personal trainer, starts his first conversation with MagicSite.

He is a personal trainer, teaches motor sciences, works with clients with specific needs, and wants a professional, credible, conversion-oriented website.
For him, MagicSite is not a way to “figure out where to start,” but a tool to improve what he already knows he wants to do.

As soon as he starts chatting, something interesting happens: he doesn’t ask what to do, but how to do it better.

Setting the direction for the website: “personal” or “professional”? Both

Luca starts right away with a concrete question:

“I need a personal or a more business-oriented website? What’s best for me?”

MagicSite responds with the confidence of a consultant: it explains the difference, suggests the most effective approach, and guides the final choice.

MagicSite helps Luca identify which type of website is best suited for his business.

This is where the difference with Sarah becomes clear: the conversation is no longer “guided,” it is collaborative.

Integrating what already exists: MagicSite analyzes the online presence

Then, Luca shares a link to his professional profile.
MagicSite analyzes it, understands his style, strengths, and what sets him apart.

MagicSite analyzes Luca’s online profile and adapts the website proposal to his professional style.

This step is crucial: MagicSite doesn’t start from scratch; it begins with Luca.

The tone of the text, the proposed sections, the choices for the sitemap… everything becomes more precise, more consistent, more “professional.”

Creating the perfect message: Luca’s impactful sentence

Luca wants a short, impactful sentence for his homepage.
Not too commercial, not too generic.

Within a few exchanges, the AI proposes several versions; he chooses the one that represents him best, and together they refine it:

“For me, every training starts with the person. Listening, experience, and tailor-made programs to help them feel better.”

Luca and MagicSite work together to define the perfect impactful sentence for his homepage.

It’s a perfect example of co-creation: Luca brings the experience, MagicSite brings the synthesis.

Expanding the project: “I would like a testimonials section.”

It’s not the AI suggesting everything. At a certain point, Luca takes the initiative:

“I’d like a testimonials section. It really helps build trust.”

MagicSite doesn’t just say “okay”: it explains how to structure it, suggests solutions, and provides effective templates.
On the website he gets, Luca finds the testimonials section already laid out, designed for credibility and conversion.

The result: A professional website that feels like it was created with a human consultant

At the end of the conversation, Luca gets:
  • A structure designed to highlight his identity
  • An impactful sentence tuned to his voice
  • Sensible and professional sections (from testimonials to services)
  • A tone consistent with his real business
  • A homepage that conveys trust, authority, and method

All of this, without starting from scratch.

MagicSite didn’t tell him what to do.                                                                                           It gave him the tools to do it better.

It was more a partner than a generator.

What we learned from the two simulations

After following Sarah and Luca’s conversations, one thing becomes very clear: MagicSite never works the same way. It works in the best way for the person using it.

With Sarah, inexperienced and a little uncertain, the AI acted as a patient guide.
It helped her find the right words, clarify goals, and organize her ideas.

With Luca, more experienced and already present online, MagicSite interacted “as a colleague.”
It didn’t tell him what to do: it helped him do it better, refine the message, and enrich the website structure.

In both cases, MagicSite helped gain awareness of the project and the best way to present it.

It became clear and immediate that:
  • The AI helps you clarify your ideas
Sometimes it’s difficult to explain what you want from your website. You have an idea in your head, but you don’t know where to start to turn it into a project.

MagicSite’s questions (What is your main goal? Who do you want to reach? What makes what you do special?) force you to clarify your thoughts. A very useful exercise for anyone about to communicate.

  • When it invents, it often gives you new ideas
If MagicSite suggests a page or a section you hadn’t thought of, it’s not a mistake: it’s an opportunity, a way to see your project from a new angle.

It happens to both Sarah and Luca, and it’s like having someone by your side saying,  “Have you considered this possibility too?”

  • The AI shapes what is still raw
Many ideas start out confused: sketches, intuitions, scattered concepts. MagicSite collects them and organizes them into a logical flow:

    title → main message → page structure → introduction → services/products

This way, what was once “a feeling” finally becomes something you can read, evaluate, and improve.

  • And most importantly…it makes everything faster
Where previously hours of trial and error were needed, now just a few minutes are enough to get: a coherent draft, a sensible sitemap, relevant text, and a credible visual style.

It’s not time saved “for convenience.” It’s time to focus on what matters: customization, quality, and your identity.

And the rest of the process? We actually did it.

In our simulation, we focused mainly on the chat part, because it is the heart of the interaction with MagicSite, and where it most clearly shows how it differs in operation.

But of course, we carried the whole flow through to the end:
  • We chose one of the graphic styles suggested by the AI
  • We reviewed and approved the sitemap
  • And in the end, we proudly checked out the automatically generated website

The result had everything: a coherent structure, relevant text, appropriate images, and a tone consistent with Sarah and Luca’s profiles. It was already a real, functional, solid project.

We’ve reached the end of this simulation.
Sarah and Luca, however, would probably have opened the project in WebSite X5 and started the more personal part: edits, tweaks, colors, photos, details, everything that makes a website truly “your own.”

And that is the point: MagicSite accelerates the process, but the final direction is always in your hands.
